So last week my friend whom I haven't seen in well over five years was going to meet me at Starbucks to catch up. She is a flight attendant so she was coming from SeaTac airport and I was coming from FW. So we decided to meet in the middle somewhere. We would both leave at the same time and travel on the same road going opposite. And when one of us saw a starbucks we would meet there (we were talking the entire time on the phone). Well...it took forever to find one! Shockingly enough. I mean the U Village has three starbucks in one mall, how could it be that we had trouble finding just one starbucks on a major road? And yes there were safeways that have them but we wanted an "authentic" starbucks. So we finally found one at both our old stomping grounds when I was a freshman in college and she had just started her job at Alaska, and it was LITERALLY exactly half way between the two of us! I just thought this was a cute story. The wonderful thing about starbucks is you don't have to be a coffee drinker to appreciate the finer things in life...like say a double chocolate mint frappacino. Two bucks so good (well maybe four bucks)!
So this story could end there but I wanted to quickly throw out that my friend and I ended up catching up for four hours, so we really should have gone to a restaurant. We both got in our cars and called each other when we realized how much time had actually passed. We thought maybe we had spent about an hour chatting away oh no my friends. Four HOURS! Moral of the story: Starbucks are good and old friends are better!
