837 billion mosquito bites

Okay, so that may be me exaggerating just a little. But still it feels like that many. This past weekend I was in Bend, Oregon at the 7th Mountain Resort for my brother's wedding. It was beautiful and I will devote an entire entry to that later in the week once I get pictures from my sisters. Back to the mosquitoes. This could have all been prevented ya know, with just one little can of OFF spray, but no, I didn't even think that in the half hour ceremony at 5pm, in the beautiful sunshine that I would be eaten alive. I keep finding more and more of them on my body. They really like my legs and ankles, I wonder why that is? These mosquitoes were quite small but man they had a bite. I have HUGE welts all over, in fact so much, that perfect strangers are coming up to me asking about them. Yeah...that bad. I also find myself waking up at 5:30 am (not a time I admire) with this incredibly urge to scratch. And so I do. I have this great non-itch stuff from the 80's that seems to be working just fine. I just like scratching. I'm hoping by the end of the week they will all become scabs. I feel sorry for my sisters who are ten times worse off from me, yet Jim has like none, perhaps it was the hot black suit he was wearing that protected him.

Carbon Leaf

They impress me. Our local Queen Ann neigborhood Easy Street Records always bring some good bands to play for free at their place. It's awesome because we get to see a variety of acts and it is free, so it makes for a cheap date night. Listen to the song and make it to at least 56 seconds and you will be hooked! The song you are hearing is on their old album but their new album rocks as well! So go now. Go and buy the new album. Go. Stop reading this.

Bday lunch

For lunch my dad took Jim, my sisters, and me to the best AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant in Yakivegas. I think it is called Antijitos. It is small, always filled, and gosh darn delicious. And Mexican food is one of my least favorites....um not anymore.

PS-Tayler had graduated the night b4 so she is working on about 3 hours of sleep for the week and Whitney just looks bad...hahaha; Not that I look any better! Jim of course always looks good, lucky man.

yes, it was a weird concert

I'm a stocker

I had it in my mind to follow this truck to exactly where it was going. But alas, I had to go do my final presentation. Darn.

So You Think You Can Dance Dance Dance...

So yesterday was a terrible, horrible, no good very bad day. Today was much better because I got to watch So You Think You Can Dance dance dance (echoing). It just makes my evening. Jim recorded it for me and let me watch it while he went running and then he ended up finishing it with me (sshhh, don't tell anyone). It makes me so happy! I heart watching dancing...And I love Kat Deeley (sp?). Watch it and love it!

Just another finals week

Another finals week is almost over and my hair is filled with grey and my face is filled with acne (this coming from someone who rarely gets it). I am really doubting myself. I think grad. school is ten times harder than my mission ever was, and that is saying something. It's hard for many reasons because I don't think people really get it, just like if you've never served a mission you don't really get it. Grad school is like that too. Just like I don't understand what being a mother is like yet. It is making me realize more and more that until you've walked a mile in someone elses shoes, just keep your mouth shut.
