I'm more like Kathy Lee Gifford than you think

That title might seem like a joke to you. But it isn't to me. I'm serious. But this is why you like me anyway.

I am a fan of Kathy Lee Gifford. First off, we like the same things. She will make comments on the Today Show and I swear every comment she makes I'm in total agreeance. For example, they were showing her some fashion shoes and I hated all of them but one pair. Then Kathy Lee voiced the exact same opinion. Two, she was the sidekick/singer on Name That Tune, which I LOVED! Three, she attended Kansas State University, which is where I worked for a stint in Manhattan, Kansas. She also appeared as Miss Hannigan in a production of Annie which if you know me you know I ADORE the characters, especially Miss Hannigan.

She seems so real and down to earth to me. And though people might disagree, I really like her. She's the only "celebrity" and I use it loosely that I feel I can relate to. I don't know why I have this odd connection with her, I just do! And did you know that in the fourth hour of the Today Show within the first two months of her being host the points went up 14. That is a large jump. People like her. I also like her because of her stories on how she names her kids, and the funny things she learned as a parent. I suspect I will have some of those funny stories too later on in my life. So here's to you Kathy Lee, congratulations on your one year on the Today Show!
