Bad Mood

I'm in one. I was fine three hours ago then my mind filled up and I got in a bad mood. I hate wanting things. I hate needing things. I hate worrying about friends and family members. Does anyone else just lie there in bed filling your brain with anxiety as you lose sleep with each passing second? Just wondering.

I'm assuming there are billions of people in the world that do this and I just wanted to get it all out in the open while I am feeling like this. I don't need any pity comments, that is not what I'm doing. I'm not fishing for them at all. Just wanted to have a real discussion on what keeps people awake at night. Tonight my hand has three notes on it that I forgot to do today so that carries over. It's the holidays but the economy has me feeling quite low as does my bank account.

I'll get over it I'm sure. NO worries there. As my dad said tonight "The Thompsons may get pretty low but we don't break." Good FYI for any Thompsons reading this, we won't break when we get stressed.

On a plus side, I got to see my lovely cousin Aupreille tonight and her pregnant body and that made me smile.

As Alexander, a character from my favorite childhood book, says "I am having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day."

this isn't a pity comment, but i am sorry! i was in a terrible mood yesterday...it was mostly kid induced though! tons of things keep me awake at night. last week was worse though..i think my body is finally too tired. we just need to learn to tell our minds to shutup and know there is always tomorrow to do things and we are not superwomen! i love you

Oh I am so sorry you were in a bad mood after seeing me :( (although don't worry, I was glad you said seeing me made you happy).

What keeps me awake alot of nights is figuring out how to stretch our money and be able to cover the expenses we need and figure out what things we can do without. Also, work keeps me up a lot of times because I'll be dreaming I'm at work trying to finish some report or project and feel all of the anxiety related to that but I'm actually pretty luckily because I usually gone fall asleep pretty easy.

I have become strongly convinced though since seeing Mark be able to finally fall asleep that a room temp of 65 degrees aids TREMENDOUSLY in helping you get to sleep and giving yourself 1/2 hour to unwind before getting into bed.

Like that old analogy which helps me get thru it: quick sand. The more you struggle with it the faster you sink. I know I have tried but don't freak out about things that are way in the future or out of your control. Do what you can to relax and just know in the end things always will work out. If they don't, eh. You know I will never give you a pity comment even though you are diving for one.
