Hello from BOSTON

Just wanted to quickly say hello while I have a moment. Boston is great as usual. It is my favorite city in the U.S. and I may just end up here one day. We'll see. I love the history, people, and accent. And it is so easy to get around. I enjoyed staying with my friend Tristy of the Little Truckers and my two other Little Truckers showed up from D.C. Needless to say we had a good time. MOre photos and info. to come soon about that. I am now at the National Association of School Psychologist annual conference (the real reason for the trip, but who says you can't have fun and mix school with pleasure?). Yesterday I volunteered at the student booth and was refunded my entire conference fee (woo-hoo). Today is classes and I meet with my mentor. Tomorrow and Friday will consist of attending classes, workshops, and seeing my professors present on their research. Fun! I'm a nerd. I know. But being here I know that this is the career for me. I love everything about it thus far.

ME WANT NOW

ikaraoke. it is brilliant.

Karaoke's all-in-one microphone/processor isolates the lead vocal track in your favorite music and fades it, giving your voice room to move up front and make that favorite tune yours.

With great talent comes great responsibility; don't keep it hidden. Plug iKaraoke into your home or auto stereo through your stereo's Auxiliary Audio In (sometimes called Line In). Use iKaraoke's mic to start, stop, skip and repeat the music, control volume. It's your tunes as only you can sing them.

The lights go down. The crowd goes wild. You know you're a star!

4.0=The Clash

Jim surprised me with a gift that brought tears to my eyes. For all my hard work and past 4.0s (I just think he couldn't wait until the end of this quarter to give it to me), he bought me the autobiography of The Clash, my favorite band. And it is even better because it is an Autobiography, they wrote it, it is not some journalist who did some digging. I am so happy and thankful for Jim who knows me soooo well it's freaky. Thank you honey and I love you!

PS-Can you see the aura around the book? It's a sign.

Jack the Ripper

Jack is my dad's new puppy. His official name is "Jack the Ripper". We got him as a present to dad for Christmas to help with the empty nest syndrome of Tayler leaving him for college. When he came in as my dad was opening his dog tags, he went right to my dad and jumped up on him, you couldn't have planned it if you wanted!

I'm in love with Jack. He's cute. He smells sometimes but I just find him incredibly entertaining. He's a good listener, but still needs work on not jumping on people and nipping at your toes. Other than that he's good to go. Potty trained (thanks Angie and Kelly), comes when you call him, stays when you tell him to stay (dad just taught him that one). People know that I despise animals, and now despise is too strong a word. I just only kind of not like them. I like watching them just not touching them. I forgot to mention that he is half border collie and half husky with blue eyes and great markings! He also has a gimp front leg and hops a long on it. But that doesn't slow him down! Fall in love with him.

Whit-tanny

Happy Birthday Whitney! I love you! Top five things I love about Whitney

1. She takes care of her turtle Tuga. And literally has brought her out of her shell..she's much more social now because of Whitney. Though I still find it creepy she sleeps with it. It's amazing she doesn't have samonella poisoning (see picture below).

2. Her shoe wall (see below) and obsession with fashion. Whitney can turn your closet into gold and recently she went to a client's house and did just that. Created styles from old stuff she had. She sees the big picture in terms of fashion. I don't. I'm boring according to her.

3. She can turn history into entertainment. I remember whit, tay, and i went to the SAM for the Roman exhibit and it was much more interesting because whitney knew everything about everyone of the Romans. Fascinating.

4. I appreciate her struggles in life right now, she's going to make it through. I'm proud that she recognizes them and doesn't wallow. She just keeps trekking.

5. Her ability to make me smile or anyone for that matter. She's just simply funny.
