Snow Cones

In 1919 the snow cone made its debut, at the State Fair of Texas. This iconic treat was dreamed up by Dallas inventor Samuel Bert, who also patented the first snow-cone-making machine. I have always wanted a snow-cone machine and I would always ask for that as a gift when I was younger, you know the kind, the Snoopy machine. Oh how I yearned for one of those. I still yearn for one of those. I can't wait for the fair in Nashville that I will be going to in two short weeks! And then when I get back or even before I get to TN, I will attend a fair here in the Seattle area and then one in Yakivegas. The only reason I attend fairs are to 1. eat snow cones and 2. people watch.

This does bring up a dilemma to me though as well because I also am an avid fan of shaved ice and what I wouldn't give for one of those machines too (roughly $1000)! Cherry is my favorite flavor in both forms of delight!

Train Wreck

Has anybody been watching late night tv lately? As in, Letterman and Conan. Now I'm a Conan fan by trade but seriously last night as I was switching back and forth between the two I thought to myself "who are these actors that they have." I swear I just saw Norm McDonald on Conan two weeks ago and here he is again. He kept cutting into the other guests comments and such and it was quite annoying. Then I turned to Letterman and they had Howie Mandel on as their main guest! Seriously. And there was some Dog diving stuff going on as well. I feel as if the person in charge of booking guests for both shows need to be fired. that's all.

Put up a parking lot

So two weeks ago while I was in the midst of finals week my driveway aka parking lot was filled with people who had dropped off their cars headed to fun-filled places like:

Hawaii

Jamaica

and the ever lovely Greece

So each day I would come home see their cars and swear under my breath as I was stuck at home doing advanced statistics and preparing for a test on Solution-Focused Brief Counseling among other stuff/crap. Life just isn't fair sometimes.

2 weddings and a breakdown

My brother got married in June. My mom got married in August. My dad is engaged and may be getting married very very soon. I had a little break down, well let's be honest a major breakdown.
