Time to Say Goodbye

These are my favorite pajamas. Tayler got them for me for Christmas when I returned from my studies (playing) in London. They say "I see London, I see France." And I have. I've had them for five years and have loved every second I spent wearing them, but alas it is time to say goodbye. So I had to say goodbye and blog about them as a reminder of the good times we shared.

can i have that when you die?

This question is often asked to my parents by their children, I am probably the biggest culprit of it. It makes my dad laugh and my mom cry. But let me explain a bit. First off, neither one of my parents side have things that have been passed down from generation to generation. We aren't like that. However, Jim's family is very big into things being passed down so much so that he has lots of those boxes at banks (I forget the name) that hold valuables and are insured and all that. I would love to just go and open them and see what kind of treasures they hold. Then there is my family. We have a lot of art valuables so that is what we kids fight over the most. But guess who has the better end of the deal from all of us kids? ME! Because I (said with a devilish grin) am the person when my parents die who gets to decide what goes to whom. And now my fingers are wiggling back and forth as if I'm excited. Jim would call these my passionate fingers or something like that. He loves my fingers when they go wiggly like that, it means I'm excited. So yes, when I ask my parents if I can have that when I die. I know for certain I will get it! hahahaha siblings! You see I appreciate things. I was the one as a 16 year old saved up about 130 dollars to get something framed that my dad had painted. It is now mine! Even though my other siblings seem to think they should get it, but I was the one who went and sought it out and took it to be framed! As well, my dad gave me this little thing he made when he was in woodshop or something when he was 12 and he passed it onto me and it has been in every car I ever own as my good luck charm. I've had it since I was 16. My mom has this ring that was given to her by her aunt and she passed it to me only to have my sister Whitney steal it from me. Rude.

Anyway, my point being if you ever here me say "can i have that when you die?" Take it very seriously, i don't mess around.

Kelly and Angie's Wedding June 2009

There was definitely some weeping. Weeping was had by all. The vows were beautiful and even my brother lost it for about 15 seconds. What a beautiful wedding. It had its moments. At one point there was a bee in Angie's vale and at another point one of the groomsmen almost fainted and had to go lean on a tree! We danced all night long and had a wonderful time. Congratulations Angie and Kelly and welcome to the family Angie!

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful then the risk it was to blossom" Anais Nin

I love this quote. I just heard it for the first time this morning and I was drawn to it. Enjoy.
