Kelly and Angie's Wedding June 2009

There was definitely some weeping. Weeping was had by all. The vows were beautiful and even my brother lost it for about 15 seconds. What a beautiful wedding. It had its moments. At one point there was a bee in Angie's vale and at another point one of the groomsmen almost fainted and had to go lean on a tree! We danced all night long and had a wonderful time. Congratulations Angie and Kelly and welcome to the family Angie!

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful then the risk it was to blossom" Anais Nin

I love this quote. I just heard it for the first time this morning and I was drawn to it. Enjoy.

Popcorn Tree

This is a tree in my yard. I cannot name it, I've googled it but no avail. Anybody have any idea? I love looking at it and it lasts for quite awhile. It makes me happy.

Seattle University

Every Thursday for the next 8 weeks I will get to spend 11 wonderful hours on campus. Lucky me. I may just die, die! I hate summer quarters, they may be fewer weeks but they are ten times harder than regular quarters.

837 billion mosquito bites

Okay, so that may be me exaggerating just a little. But still it feels like that many. This past weekend I was in Bend, Oregon at the 7th Mountain Resort for my brother's wedding. It was beautiful and I will devote an entire entry to that later in the week once I get pictures from my sisters. Back to the mosquitoes. This could have all been prevented ya know, with just one little can of OFF spray, but no, I didn't even think that in the half hour ceremony at 5pm, in the beautiful sunshine that I would be eaten alive. I keep finding more and more of them on my body. They really like my legs and ankles, I wonder why that is? These mosquitoes were quite small but man they had a bite. I have HUGE welts all over, in fact so much, that perfect strangers are coming up to me asking about them. Yeah...that bad. I also find myself waking up at 5:30 am (not a time I admire) with this incredibly urge to scratch. And so I do. I have this great non-itch stuff from the 80's that seems to be working just fine. I just like scratching. I'm hoping by the end of the week they will all become scabs. I feel sorry for my sisters who are ten times worse off from me, yet Jim has like none, perhaps it was the hot black suit he was wearing that protected him.
