Pay it Forward!

I saw this on my cousins blog and lucky for me I was the 3rd to comment. Here's how it works.....pay it forward:

The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive something that I find entirely cool! Aw, the element of surprise! You don't know know what or when (in the next few months) but I promise it will be cool.

Before you leave a comment though you need to leave a pay it forward post on your blog, facebook or whatever to keep the fun and excitement going!

Good luck!

"High what?!!!!!!!!"

So I have high blood pressure. I've never had high blood pressure before and it kind of shook me awake and now I'm having nightmares of dying. SO I'm writing it on this blog as a behavioral contract with anyone who may read this. I go for in for the blood test on MOnday and have to starve myself for awhile, no biggie. I have to do something about this. I'm too young to have high blood pressure. I'm fat and I know it. And I'm done with that. The doctor whom I love, said "Hayley you have a triple whammy, your mom has diabetes, your grandfather has diabetes, and your BMI is too high." As if I couldn't guess that on my own. But why hasn't a doctor ever talked about my weight before? Obviously I'm trying to watch what I eat, but not DIET as she said that is no good. She said start gradual and work up. For me I know it is portion control as I eat healthy meals I just eat too much of them.

I know all the rules, I'm not stupid. The number one thing she said I could do is lose weight and exercise as my heart is working too hard. Well good thing I started an intervention three weeks ago where I pay myself five dollars every time I work out for more than thirty minutes. Of course this five dollars since I am a broke student can be in IOU or a check (that if I cashed surely would bounce) and in some cash. So I have this jar with the goal being a wii fiit if I reach my goal of exercising each week. I'm starting gradual walking on my treadmill or outside just twice a week and working up to three and eventually to five. I'm at three right now.

But this is a call for help and responsibility to you my friends. Research shows the more people I tell the better off I'll do. SO that is what I"m doing. This is also part of my intervention plan in my advanced behavioral class so that's cool too.

Hello from BOSTON

Just wanted to quickly say hello while I have a moment. Boston is great as usual. It is my favorite city in the U.S. and I may just end up here one day. We'll see. I love the history, people, and accent. And it is so easy to get around. I enjoyed staying with my friend Tristy of the Little Truckers and my two other Little Truckers showed up from D.C. Needless to say we had a good time. MOre photos and info. to come soon about that. I am now at the National Association of School Psychologist annual conference (the real reason for the trip, but who says you can't have fun and mix school with pleasure?). Yesterday I volunteered at the student booth and was refunded my entire conference fee (woo-hoo). Today is classes and I meet with my mentor. Tomorrow and Friday will consist of attending classes, workshops, and seeing my professors present on their research. Fun! I'm a nerd. I know. But being here I know that this is the career for me. I love everything about it thus far.

ME WANT NOW

ikaraoke. it is brilliant.

Karaoke's all-in-one microphone/processor isolates the lead vocal track in your favorite music and fades it, giving your voice room to move up front and make that favorite tune yours.

With great talent comes great responsibility; don't keep it hidden. Plug iKaraoke into your home or auto stereo through your stereo's Auxiliary Audio In (sometimes called Line In). Use iKaraoke's mic to start, stop, skip and repeat the music, control volume. It's your tunes as only you can sing them.

The lights go down. The crowd goes wild. You know you're a star!
