HELP BABY MIA!

I have decided to try and help some good friends of my cousins from Seattle. Their baby needs a heart transplant and as you can imagine the medical costs they have and will incur from this are tremendous (even with insurance).

Most of you have probably received my email but I thought I'd post about it as well. My cousin's heart broke when talking with John (the dad) the other night. He said how he is trying to be a good dad and husband and a good employee. I felt awful that he even had to worry about working at a time like this. His baby and wife are 40 miles away and he has to get up and go to work to pay the bills of everyday life, not to mention all the medical bills that are accruing.

I didn't know what I could do to help but I thought maybe this would work. So if anyone would like to help this wonderful family please click on the link and give what you can. Honestly anything helps...it all adds up.

She's a beautiful baby girl. Analisa has held her finger and touched her face. She really is a fighter and would melt your heart if you could meet her! She is back at the hospital awaiting a new heart but let's do something to help her family while she waits!

Reading

Oh how I love to read. From the back of cereal boxes to the operating manual of a cell phone. I love to read. This summer finds me reading one of the best series I've ever read. And no it is not Stephanie Myer's vampire series (though I love them too and will read the fourth book in August when it comes out). Summer quarter is over and now I can indulge in reading me some novellas! A friend once told me that I reminded her of Anne (that is spelled with an "e") Shirley. I had no idea who she was talking about and my friend about fell off her chair as she new I was an avid reader. She said you are passionate and get excited in a hurry just like Anne. I thought she was talking about character from a movie but I was wrong. It is the beloved character of L.M. Montgomery. Anne of Green Gables. Let's face it folks I'm obsessed. As I was pondering what to read the moment I finished summer school I remembered Anne of Green Gables! So I promptly went and bought the first three in the series. I also remembered a friend telling me she was reading it because we are going to Prince Edward Island for vacation as it happens in a little over a month! I'm going to where it all takes place! OMGosh. L.M Montgomery who published the first one in 1908 (!) has this eclectic way of writing. Eclectic may not be the right word but if you haven't read it, it is across between Pippi Longstocking, Annie, and Pollyanna. She writes and I feel it in my bones. I'm laughing out loud and am mesmerized by her descriptions and character. I love Anne with an "e" Now only three more pages left. I've certainly cried a few times and I rarely cry in books. I'm grateful I was sick this weekend and into the week as that is all I did! PLEASE READ ANNE-GIRL!

Sleep.

Everyone wants it. But lately the moon and I have had a relationship that warrants an amount of sleepless nights. How can that five letter word bring on such joy or terror for some? Sleep. I want it now.
